Born
Tuesday Lynn Knight (Feb.17) daughter of famed songwriter Baker
Knight in Los Angeles, California she was destined to become a powerhouse. Tuesday
Knight, however, decided a long time ago that her creativity and professional
poise has neither lofty aspirations nor boundaries. For example, she
left a recording contract with CBS records in 1989 to pursue acting and
quickly garnered success. Tuesday exploded on the Hollywood scene with
her portrayal of Kristen Parker in "A Nightmare
on Elm Street Part 4: The Dream Master”, and her singing the title song created even
stronger buzz that has not stopped.
She has worked with some of Hollywood's grandest
directors, from Tony Scott and Penny Marshall, to Jason Priestly, Renny Harlin
and Joel Schumacher.
The quintessential Southern Belle by birth, she resembles Madonna - or
is it Reese Witherspoon - or perhaps Marilyn in her prime. No matter, this
chameleon actress is at home wherever the role is, be it "The Fan" with
Robert DeNiro, or with Drew Barrymore in "2000 Malibu Road" in
a part that called for her to become a brunette and wear 30 pounds of padding.
TV Guide was thunder struck when they reviewed her
in 2000 Malibu Road series.... gave her thumbs way up! "...Tuesday
Knight for her hippy, dippy, trippy turn as Joy on CBS's 2000 Malibu Road."
Love her? Hate her? Our point exactly. Knight's ability
to inspire instant intense opinions is what makes her such a hoot.
No stranger to the independent film scene, Tuesday
as Peggy Pauline has also worked with Hollywood royalty, like Robert DeNiro,
Christopher Walken, Martin Landau, Eli Wallach, Ernest Borgnine, Robert Wuhl
in "Mistress" and the twisted thriller "Who Killed the Baby
Jesus" opposite Billy Wirth.
In "Daddy And Them," once again sporting
three hats as writer, director, and actor, Billy Bob Thorton plays Claude Montgomery,
the youngest of three sons in this comic valentine to family dysfunction. Claude
is a poor, white trash fella, freshly married to a fiery, insecure gal named
Ruby,Laura Dern, and contending with all sorts of familial grief when his Uncle
Hazel, the late Jim Varney, is charged with murder. Claude's extended family
includes his Daddy,Andy Griffith, and Them: brothers John Prine and Jeff Bailey,
Macarena-monkey obsessed mother Sandra Seacat, mother-in-law Diane Ladd, Ruby's
self-centered sister Rose (Kelly Preston), Uncle Hazel's new, English-therapist
wife, Brenda Blethyn, and Hazel's bickering, married defense lawyers,Ben Affleck
and Jamie Lee Curtis, and Tuesday portrayed Billy.
Her talent so diverse and polished, she has also worked
with Alicia Silverstone, "Cover Story" with Chris McDonald and Robert
Forster, to director Jack Mulcahy.
Even with an exhausting acting career, Tuesday somehow makes time to teach
acting to both adults and children, and run a thriving jewelry company
featuring Toe Accessories, the first in jewelry for your toes, and other
fun jewelry. She created a company TOE BRIGHTS and built this company into
a successful costume jewelry company, at the suggestion of Drew Barrymore
when they did the series together.
Now... Tuesday has stepped out of that company and
up to her dream company... TUESDAY’S HIP VINTAGE. This company is inspired
by the creations she designed for her friends and the hip trend setters in
the business; Christina Aguilera, Pamela Anderson, Halle Barry, Drew Barrymore,
Kim Basinger, Orlando Bloom, Mariah Carey, Cher, Johnny Depp, Hillary Duff,
Carmen Electra, Teri Hatcher, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Paris Hilton, Katie Holmes,
Angelina Jolie, Kiri Knightly, Sally Kirkland, Juliet Lewis, Lindsay Lohan,
Jennifer Lopez, Courtney Love, Susan Lucci, Madonna, Stella McCartney, the
Olson Twins, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Richie, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson,
Gene Simons, Tori Spelling, Gwen Stafani, Reese Witherspoon , to name a few.
Tuesday is also a musician (Keyboards/Guitar) and
singer -- most presently with David Brighton's Space Oddity, a live tribute
to British pop/rock legend David Bowie. To be sure, it is an uncanny recreation
of the music and the magic of one of popular music's most influential and innovative
superstars. When she has time she is working on her next album where she will
duet with her late father on songs he made famous.
Actress (clip
reel of some of her work) ... singer...
musician... and business entrepreneur, Tuesday Knight has all but redefined
the meaning of success! Success comes to those who are neither afraid to fail
nor discouraged by failures... and she redefined fear a long time ago in A
NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET.
